1. Driver Requirements
- Age Requirement: All renters and authorized additional drivers must be at least 21 years of age.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license must be presented at the time of pickup. The license must remain valid for the entire duration of the rental period.
- Insurance: Renters must provide proof of adequate personal auto insurance that transfers to a rental vehicle, or opt into our provided coverage plans during the Wheelbase checkout process.
2. Booking and Payments
- Online Reservations: All real-time vehicle bookings, availability checks, and payment processing are securely handled through our integrated Wheelbase platform.
- Deposits: A refundable security deposit of $150 is required at the time of booking. This deposit will be returned within 7 business days after the vehicle is returned in satisfactory condition.
- Payment Methods: We accept major credit and debit cards. Prepaid cards or cash are not accepted for the initial reservation deposit.
3. Vehicle Usage & Rideshare Policy
- Approved Usage: Zuper Rental Cars explicitly allows the use of our vehicles for approved gig-economy and rideshare platforms, including but not limited to Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash.
- Prohibited Uses: Vehicles may not be used for off-roading, towing, illegal activities, street racing, or transporting hazardous materials.
- Geographic Restrictions: Vehicles must not be driven outside of State without prior written consent.
4. Long-Term Rentals
- Long-term rental agreements (weekly or monthly) require a separate contract outlining specific mileage limits and routine maintenance check-ins.
- Payments for long-term rentals are billed on a recurring [weekly/monthly] basis. Failure to process payment will result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and vehicle recovery.
5. Maintenance, Damage, and Cleaning
- Routine Maintenance: Zuper Rental Cars is responsible for standard mechanical maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations). Renters on long-term contracts must bring the vehicle to our designated shop for scheduled service every [Insert Mileage, e.g., 5,000 miles].
- Condition on Return: Vehicles must be returned in the same condition as received. A cleaning fee of up to [Insert Amount, e.g., $150] will be charged for vehicles returned with excessive dirt, trash, stains, or smoke odors. Our fleet is strictly non-smoking.
- Tolls and Tickets: The renter is fully responsible for all tolls, parking tickets, traffic citations, and associated administrative fees incurred during the rental period.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
- Reservations canceled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours or “no-shows” will be subject to a cancellation fee of $50.
7. Limitation of Liability
Zuper Rental Cars is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our vehicles. We are not responsible for any personal property left in the vehicle during or after the rental period.
